Polar Racking Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Technical Bid Specialist to join our Estimation group. The role owns supplier engagement and the preparation of cohesive, client-ready bid packages for utility-scale and commercial solar projects.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years in bid coordination or procurement, plus advanced Excel, are required. Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, or HelioScope is an asset; we offer growth opportunities and a competitive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
3+ years of bid coordination, proposal preparation, procurement, or technical estimating support.
Experience with solar PV systems, structural steel components, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

Compile complete bid packages including cost estimates, technical designs, product specifications, project schedules, and corporate qualifications.
Coordinate inputs from Estimating, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to produce cohesive, client-ready proposals.
Engage suppliers and fabricators to solicit, clarify, and level quotations for racking, tracker components, and foundations.
Review supplier terms, conditions and risk items; ensure bid content is accurate and compliant.
