This junior-to-mid-level position supports both project delivery and business development by developing accurate project estimates, maintaining supplier and subcontractor relationships, and helping optimize procurement strategies from the bidding phase through project execution.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business development, engineering, construction, finance, procurement, and project management teams, as well as external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier qualification, performance, and documentation requirements, including insurance, warranties, lien waivers, and delivery obligations.
  • Support project logistics planning, including Incoterms, customs responsibilities, and delivery scheduling.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project management to verify material take-offs, procurement requirements, shop drawings, and subcontractor bids.
  • Prepare project cost estimates and pricing proposals for management and client review.
  • Help improve procurement procedures, cost structures, reporting tools, and operational processes.
  • Support future ERP implementation initiatives while working primarily within Excel-based estimating and procurement tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to engineering standardization, reporting, and cost management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of estimating, procurement, or related project experience with an EPC, general contractor, utility, civil contractor, electrical contractor, or similar construction organization.
  • Practical understanding of construction practices and how civil, structural, and electrical scope decisions impact project pricing.
  • Utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with transferable experience from electrical, civil, industrial, utility, or infrastructure construction are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and web-based tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset; SAP experience is not required.
