Job summary

Polar Racking Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimation Manager in Mississauga, ON to lead the Estimation department and drive cost accuracy across PV mounting systems.

You will own the estimating process, review bids, and guide pricing strategy with senior leadership while building a high-performing team. You will manage supplier engagement, cost models, and risk mitigation for commercial and utility-scale projects in Canada and the U.S., ensuring competitive, defendable estimates and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 5–8 years in cost estimating, bid management, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience leading a cost estimating or bid team in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial fundamentals including tariffs, Incoterms, and margins.
• Proven ability to develop detailed cost models and evaluate supplier quotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimation, bid management, and supplier negotiation for solar projects.
• Own pricing strategies, risk assessment, and margin protection with senior leadership.
• Oversee RFQs, supplier selection, and quote leveling; ensure timely, accurate bids.
• Mentor Estimation team, set standards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate inputs across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance.
