Job summary

Polar Racking Inc. is a North American leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of PV mounting systems, delivering innovative, cost-conscious solutions for commercial and utility-scale solar projects in Canada and the United States.

We are seeking an Estimation Manager to lead the Estimation department, own cost estimates and bids, develop the team, and partner with Sales and leadership to balance competitiveness with margin while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
5–8 years of cost estimating, bid management, or procurement experience.
Demonstrated leadership of an estimating, procurement, or bid team.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and cost modelling.

Responsibilities

Oversee cost-estimating for fixed-tilt racking, trackers, and foundations.
Review bids, specifications, and supplier quotations for accuracy and completeness.
Lead, develop, and manage the Estimation team and processes.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations on pricing strategy.
Ensure compliant, well-documented bid packages and competitive proposals.
Manage supplier relationships and risk mitigation across bids.
