Job Description

The Land C4ISR Applications team seeks an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate and coordinate a team of systems, software, and test engineers developing new capabilities for the Canadian Army. You'll help develop solutions used by soldiers, including Battle Management, Planning, Communication, and Data Exchange, collaborating closely with our customer and integrating technologies from global vendors. This position can be based in Ottawa or Calgary.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Running recurring Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, and customer demos.
  • Leading the team through SAFe Framework processes like PI planning and participating in SAFe ceremonies such as ART sync.
  • Supporting and coaching teams to foster collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a servant leader to remove barriers and impediments.
  • Working with the Product Owner and customer to develop backlogs and assist in initial work planning.
  • Identifying and resolving conflicts, facilitating communication, and enhancing team dynamics.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Tracking team progress, sprint metrics, and reporting to management.
  • Participating in reviews, inspections, and audits.
  • Expanding knowledge of relevant technologies, products, and market trends.
  • Sharing knowledge and presenting ideas to colleagues.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in software integration projects.
  • Minimum of two years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada as a Citizen or Permanent Resident.
