The Land C4ISR Applications team seeks an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate and coordinate a team of systems, software, and test engineers developing new capabilities for the Canadian Army. You will help develop solutions used by soldiers, including Battle Management, Planning, Communication, and Data Exchange, working closely with our customer to integrate leading technologies from global vendors. This role can be based in Ottawa or Calgary.

Typical responsibilities of the Scrum Master:
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, and customer demos.
  • Lead the team through SAFe Framework processes like PI planning and participate in SAFe ceremonies.
  • Support and coach teams to foster collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a servant leader, removing barriers and impediments to team success.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and customer to develop a backlog and assist in work planning.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, facilitate communication, and improve team dynamics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Track team progress, metrics, and report to management to optimize performance.
  • Participate in reviews, inspections, and audits.
  • Stay informed about latest technologies, products, and market trends.
  • Share knowledge and ideas with colleagues.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience in software integration projects.
  • At least two years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
