Job summary

Osimaritime is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to design, develop, test, and maintain our OSI software products. You will deliver software modules through the full SDLC, writing high-quality C/C++ code and participating in code reviews.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex technical challenges and ensure successful delivery to end users. The role requires 2–4 years of software experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Software or Engineering is required.
2–4 years of software development experience.
Experience with real-time interfaces to external systems is preferred.
ISO 9001-compliant software environment experience is an asset; defense or aerospace experience is a plus.
Security clearance is required; occasional travel may be needed; marine navigation knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, maintain and deliver software modules through the full SDLC.
Improve code quality by debugging, troubleshooting, and addressing safety and security concerns.
Own assigned work, manage deadlines, estimates, and project objectives.
Produce technical documentation and support prototypes or deployment activities.
Mentor staff, interface with customers during site visits, and ensure safety procedures.
