Job summary

OSI Maritime Systems in Burnaby, Canada, is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to design, develop, test, and maintain software products for navigation and bridge systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or Mathematics.
• 4–6 years of experience in a software environment.
• Experience developing real-time interfaces to external systems is preferred.
• Defense or aerospace domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows SDLC, coding standards and ISO-9001 guidelines.
• Develops high-quality C/C++ code and maintains version control.
• Prepares software specs, manages requirements for new features, and updates designs.
• Identifies and resolves technical challenges, communicates risks and deadlines.
• Produces technical documentation and provides SME support to teams.
