What You will Do:
Pengcorp seeks a driven leader for our Software Development team. Reporting to the Director of Industrial Operational Services, the successful candidate will:
- Lead and coordinate the Software Development team through various assignments.
- Design, project, and oversee challenges, ensuring technical quality and oversight.
- Manage troubleshooting, testing, validation, and commissioning on-site or remotely.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks related to business operations and products, including vulnerability assessments and data security.
- Communicate with clients regarding software solutions, including design, risk assessment, implementation, and audits.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team using soft skills for guidance and coaching.
- Ensure quality control and assurance for deliverables and ongoing projects.
- Support software upgrades and improvements, aligning with standards and user needs.
- Lead automation and manual testing efforts within the development team.
- Contribute to Pengcorp’s quality assurance policies and practices.
- Promote the use of latest tools, methodologies, and practices based on current technologies and security trends.
- Collaborate with directors, clients, and team members to exceed industrial standards and expectations.
What We are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-5 years of managerial experience.
- Certifications like APEGA, ASET, PMP are advantageous.
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM) methodologies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and collaborative skills.
- Experience with API-driven development and testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman.
- Knowledge of TDD, QA methods, code reviews, and testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, Jest.
- Understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools: Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Linux.
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
