Job summary

Visier is seeking a Software Developer Co-op in Vancouver for January to August 2027. You will write production‑level code, implement new features, fix bugs, and collaborate across the software development cycle using Angular, TypeScript, and backend tech.

This hybrid role offers hands‑on learning and mentorship in state‑of‑the‑art tools. Includes exposure to front‑end and back‑end stacks with Docker, AWS, Kafka, and Cassandra, while you build transferable skills for a career in software

Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium and ScalaTest for writing tests.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with web technologies (REST, HTML/CSS, JSON, Angular) is a plus.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and SQL.

We use a variety of frontend technologies including Angular, NgRx, Play Framework, TypeScript, Less, and others. We deal with large volumes of data every day. And in our backend areas we work with technologies like Scala, Kafka, Consul, Cassandra DB, Docker, AWS, etc. So, you'll be developing knowledge and skills that are transferable anywhere.

• Coding skills in writing functional tests (eg using Selenium and ScalaTest)
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Knowledge of web technologies (REST, HTML/CSS, JSON, Angular) is an advantage
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and SQL language

How we work & what we offer...

• Fixed hybrid work model: 3 days a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

The base pay range for this position in Canada is $3,600 - $4,500 per month.

Benefits and working arrangements may vary depending on your seniority, location and employment type. The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
