Job summary

emergiTEL is hiring an API Developer for a client in the Financial Services industry. The role is a 03-month contract in Calgary, AB, hybrid (01 day onsite per week).

You will design, build, test, and integrate APIs, lead technical discovery sessions, and ensure high-availability services while collaborating across teams to integrate into the API gateway platform. The ideal candidate will work on API products, contribute to automated test harnesses, and document deployment and maintenance

Job Description

• Lead ideation and technical discovery sessions, proposing creative and innovative digital solutions to advance platform capabilities.


• Build APIs, API products, and related solutions to support project delivery.


• Assist in developing automated test harnesses to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.


• Complete and maintain required documentation, including deployment, maintenance, support, and business requirements.


• Develop and maintain APIs that support secure, scalable, and high-performance integrations.


• Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex operational and performance issues to ensure high availability of production services.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and solutions into the API gateway platform and broader ecosystem.
