Job summary

emergiTEL Inc. is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer to join cross-functional teams on digital transformation projects. You will engage in field research, backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution, delivering scalable solutions across the full stack.

Responsibilities include design and development, deployment support, and ongoing documentation. The role is fully remote within Canada, aligned to Alberta hours, with an initial 1-year term and potential extension up to 24 months.

• Deployment & Launch: Support deployment and launch for limited and general availability; Focus on reuse; Contribute to reusable components

About the Role

emergiTEL is hiringSr. Full Stack Developers to work on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects. You will work as part of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams, contributing to a full range of activities including field research, backlog definition and refinement, and sprint planning and execution.

Digital transformation projects review the current state of services, identify future opportunities, and deliver new services that are efficient, effective, and affordable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Discovery

• Contribute to field research and user interviews
• Lead technical discovery and deliver related artifacts (diagrams, documentation)

2. Solution Design & Development

• Develop detailed solution designs based on shared discovery understanding
• Complete features for exemplar projects that meet product owner needs and improve user experience
• Identify and resolve functional and non-functional defects
• Enhance code quality, tooling, and documentation for improved maintainability
• Work with frontend designers to deliver solutions aligned to a consistent look and feel
• Advise and inform product owners on technical efforts and implementation options to facilitate frequent delivery

4. Deployment & Launch

• Support solution deployment and launch for limited and general availability
• Focus on reuse in solution design and implementation
• Directly contribute to reusable common components and capabilities

6. Ongoing Development

• Onboard technical team members
• Maintain technical documentation
• Adopt and improve team development and quality practices and processes

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer (senior level)

Strong background in human-centred design and agile delivery

Experience with modern data practices

Ability to work within cross-functional product teams

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Must be available during Alberta standard hours (8:15 AM – 4:30 PM MT)

Work Arrangement

Fully remote (must work within Canada)

Standard hours: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Alberta Time, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)

Resources must be available during standard hours

Term & Extension

Initial Term: 1 year

Extension Option: Up to 24 months on the same terms and conditions

Hours: Up to 1,960 hours per term (may vary based on project needs)
