Do you want to help make the world better for queer and trans folks through social media?
Xtra Magazine, an award-winning digital magazine covering culture and politics through an LGBTQ2S+ lens, is hiring a contract Social Video Producer to level up our presence on short-form video platforms including TikTok and YouTube Shorts. We are looking for a nimble collaborator with a passion for all things video and LGBTQ2S+ issues, along with a proven track record of producing high-impact social video content.
This is a part-time freelance position, reporting to the Senior Editor, Audience Engagement with further supervision from Xtra’s Managing Editor.

This is a part-time freelance position, working three days a week at $35 CAD/hr for a total of no more than 21 hrs/week. The work can be done remotely from anywhere in Canada or the U.S., with availability to work during Pacific Time ideal but not mandatory.
