In this role, you will act as a key strategic and client-facing lead, helping brands build stronger, more relevant relationships with their audiences through organic social. You will translate business and brand objectives into actionable social strategies, use social listening and community insights to identify cultural and audience opportunities, and work closely with creative, content, influencer and media teams to bring those opportunities to life.
You will oversee the day-to-day health and delivery of assigned client accounts, ensuring work is strategically strong, culturally relevant, responsive and delivered seamlessly.
Success in this role will be measured by the quality of our social strategy and execution, strength of client relationships, community growth and engagement, actionable insights generated through social listening, and overall delivery excellence.
Creo, a division of Omnicom Media, brings together social, creator, content and cultural intelligence capabilities to help brands participate meaningfully in the conversations and communities shaping culture.
Our social practice combines strategy, organic content, community management, social listening and creator expertise to help brands understand their audiences, identify opportunities and show up with relevance across social platforms.
As a Social Strategist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day strategic and account leadership of assigned organic social clients.
You will develop social strategies and content recommendations, oversee community management programs, translate social listening and platform signals into actionable insights, and partner with creative teams to develop relevant, platform-native content.
You will also serve as a key client contact, managing priorities, timelines, deliverables and expectations while identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow client relationships.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, culture, community, content and client leadership and requires someone equally comfortable interpreting social conversations, presenting recommendations to clients and guiding teams through execution.
Client & Account Management: Own day-to-day relationships across assigned clients, building trusted partnerships and developing a strong understanding of their businesses, audiences, brand priorities and social objectives. Lead status meetings, manage priorities and expectations, and ensure consistent delivery against scope and timelines.
Organic Social Strategy: Develop and implement organic social strategies aligned with client business, brand and audience objectives. Translate broader marketing strategies into clear platform, content, community and engagement approaches.
Social Listening & Cultural Intelligence: Use social listening tools, platform signals, community conversations and desk research to identify emerging trends, audience behaviours, sentiment shifts and cultural opportunities. Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and creative teams.
Community Management: Help establish and oversee community management strategies, including engagement frameworks, moderation guidelines, escalation protocols and proactive engagement opportunities. Identify recurring themes, questions and audience behaviours that can inform future content and strategy.
Content Strategy & Planning: Partner with creative, design, production and creator teams to develop platform-native content strategies, editorial calendars and agile content opportunities. Write clear briefs grounded in audience insight, platform behaviour and cultural relevance.
Real-Time & Agile Social: Identify opportunities for brands to participate in relevant conversations, trends and cultural moments while balancing speed, brand safety and strategic relevance.
Measurement & Optimization: Define meaningful organic social and community KPIs and develop reporting that goes beyond performance metrics to explain what happened, why it happened and what the brand should do next. Turn performance and community insights into ongoing optimization recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, influencer, media, analytics, account and strategy teams across Creo and Omnicom to deliver integrated solutions and ensure social thinking is embedded throughout the broader client ecosystem.
Platform & Industry Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of evolving social platforms, formats, algorithms, audience behaviours and cultural trends, bringing proactive recommendations and new opportunities to clients and internal teams.
Growth & Innovation: Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and evolve Creo's organic social, community management and social listening capabilities. Contribute to new business opportunities, strategic presentations and development of best practices.
Education: Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 4+ years of experience across organic social strategy, community management, social listening, content strategy and/or client account management, ideally within an agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
