Under direct supervision, provides instruction within a social skills group; collaborates with the Social Skills Lead in trial exposures; and monitors progress of participants. Contributes to regular lesson planning; writes session notes; and provides training to caregivers and Behavior Interventionists. Analyzes and adjusts treatment plans; generates goals designed to improve social deficits and teach self-regulation of problem behavior. Maintains productivity as set forth by the agency.

Salary

Starting at $68,640 per year.

Responsibilities
  1. Provides direct instruction; facilitates social targets utilizing Behavior Skills Training (BST) and other evidence-based practices to ensure skill acquisition. Assists Social Skills Lead with trial exposures of new participants.
  2. Generates progress reports and treatment plans for the Social Skills Lead; plans, facilitates, and leads social skills group activities; records data, writes session notes, and maintains accurate billing for all assigned participants.
  3. Analyzes data from social skills groups for clinical effectiveness. Updates progress towards goals; trains caregivers and Behavior Interventionists; attends planning meetings and contributes to activity schedules.
  4. Acts as a liaison between the organization and families receiving treatment.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in ABA or related field with 1-2 years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches beneficial for children with ASD; familiar with current research findings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Commitment to a minimum 6-month assignment in the Social Skills Group.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Good judgment, decision-making skills, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; ability to work cooperatively with diverse individuals and groups; ability to relate well to children and families.
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical and TB test, provide proof of vaccinations or immunity, and obtain necessary clearances.
  • Ability to travel locally, maintain appropriate driving records, auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
