Job description

Join us as a Bilingual LCTS Workshop Facilitator at Achēv

Achēv has been dedicated to helping diverse Canadians and newcomers achieve their potential for over 30 years. We are one of the largest providers of employment, newcomer, language, and youth services in the Greater Toronto Area, with a team of nearly 400 staff delivering innovative and personalized programs.

This fully remote role, based in Ontario, reports to the Project Manager of Language Curriculum Training Services. The facilitator will support the development, organization, and delivery of French-language professional development sessions for CLIC and FSL instructors and administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and adapt webinar content in French aligned with IRCC priorities for CLIC and FSL instructors
  • Organize and deliver online professional development webinars in French
  • Coordinate guest speakers for special topics and webinars
  • Support and train CLIC and FSL coordinators and instructors
  • Share resources and strategies suitable for CLIC and FSL classrooms, liaising with CCLB
  • Make recommendations for clients with special needs
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and community partnerships
  • Stay updated on sector trends and develop relevant training materials
  • Avoid duplication by collaborating with other PD providers
  • Provide program updates and assist with reporting
  • Create promotional content for webinars
  • Develop a directory of CLIC/FSL organizations in Ontario
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Deep knowledge of Canadian Language Benchmarks, NLPPG, and PBLA
  • At least 5 years of experience in adult ESL, especially in funded French-language training
  • Post-secondary degree in education or related field
  • TESL Ontario accreditation
  • Strong teaching, facilitation, and webinar delivery skills
  • Experience with webinar technology (BigBlueButton experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with language training sector trends and needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong technology skills; training provided
  • Availability on weekdays for tasks and webinars, with some after-hours flexibility for guest presenters
  • Ability to work remotely with a private space and high-speed internet
