Job description

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

  • LinkedIn’s Top Startup in Canada for 2022 and 2023
  • Top-ranked mobile apps and credit cards
  • Team of 700+ people
  • 1M+ customers

The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned and strategic Social Media and Influencers Manager to bring our brand to life across key platforms. You’ll take the reins on end-to-end content creation — from concepting and scripting to filming, editing, and performance analysis — all while working closely with our VP, Brand to shape our voice, expand our reach, and drive meaningful engagement.

This isn’t just about riding TikTok trends — it’s about owning the creative vision, mentoring junior team members, collaborating with influencers, and producing high-impact content that reflects who we are: bold, fast, and relentlessly customer-focused. You'll operate at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and cultural relevance, helping a breakout Canadian fintech scale its voice and community with authenticity and flair

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and execute short-form video strategies for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
  • Concept, script, film, and edit best-in-class content that resonates with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
  • Lead influencer and creator collaborations, from sourcing and outreach to creative briefing and content reviews.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, viral formats, and cultural moments to inject relevance into everything we produce.
  • Champion brand consistency, ensuring our tone, visual style, and messaging align across all social platforms.
  • Track performance metrics, interpret content analytics, and iterate based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and growth teams to align on campaign priorities
  • Represent the brand both on-camera and behind the scenes, capturing events, product launches, team culture, and more.

Who we are looking for:

  • 4–6 years of content creation experience for social media (brand or agency side), ideally in fast-paced consumer sectors
  • A portfolio or active public social presence that shows your range, originality, and ability to drive engagement.
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling, content strategy, and creative development across platforms.
  • Proficiency with editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
  • Confident on-camera presence and the ability to coach others to feel the same.
  • Deep understanding of social algorithms, platform-native content styles, and community dynamics.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance creativity with business goals — and back decisions with data.
  • Experience working with fintech, consumer tech, or lifestyle brands is a big asset!

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we’re on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to do our best work for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building intuitive products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we’re looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company’s success.
