Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Social Enterprise Development Consultant to support Kimberley-based social entrepreneurs in building viable models that balance social impact with financial sustainability. You will provide expert guidance, mentorship, and strategic advice to help ventures grow within the Kimberley region.

The role involves facilitating workshops, developing business plans, and connecting ventures with investors and networks, with emphasis on impact measurement and responsible governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in business consulting, entrepreneurship support, or social enterprise development.
• Strong understanding of business principles, financial management, marketing, and strategy.
• Knowledge of social enterprise models, impact measurement, and ethical business practices.
• Excellent advisory, mentorship, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse entrepreneurs.
• Experience in the Northern Cape region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic consulting and mentorship to social entrepreneurs on business planning, market analysis, and financial modeling.
• Assist in developing compelling business proposals and pitch decks for funding and investment.
• Guide social enterprises in establishing impact measurement frameworks and reporting.
• Facilitate workshops and training on marketing, operations, and governance.
• Connect social entrepreneurs with investors, partners, and relevant networks.
• Assess viability and scalability of social enterprise concepts.
• Support legal and regulatory aspects of setting up and running social enterprises.
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing advisory support.
• Contribute to developing a supportive ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in Kimberley.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in the sector.
