TEEMA Group in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Snr Project Manager-Arch and IT Implementation to lead delivery across the full project lifecycle. You will own schedules, budgets, scope and acceptance criteria, coordinating architecture, development, QA, security, and operations to ensure successful deployments.

You will drive critical thinking, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision making, while managing vendor performance and executive-level steering committees to align business objectives

Job Title: Snr Project Manager-Arch and IT Implementation

What you will be doing:
Delivery Leadership

  • Own the full project lifecycle from initiation through deployment and stabilization.
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules; manage critical paths; enforce milestone discipline.(Time critical use technology to save time but not thought process.)
  • Maintain budget performance within defined tolerances; track burn rates and financial variances.
  • Govern scope tightly through structured change control processes with quantified impacts.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria, compliance requirements, and operational readiness standards.

Critical Thinking & Decision Support

  • Evaluate requirements, estimates, and solution options using objective analysis.
  • Challenge assumptions from vendors, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
  • Conduct scenario modeling (best case, realistic, worst case) to support informed decision?making.
  • Distinguish root causes from symptoms when issues arise; recommend actionable, data?driven solutions.

Risk, Issue & Escalation Management

  • Identify risks early and maintain a living RAID log with clear owners and mitigation strategies.
  • Quantify impacts of risks and issues on delivery outcomes; elevate with clarity and solution options.
  • Drive proactive dependency management across architecture, development, QA, security, and operations.

Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with technical teams to validate designs, integration approaches, and deployment plans.
  • Ensure alignment across architecture, development, QA, DevOps, cybersecurity, and operations.
  • Translate technical constraints into business impacts and decision options for leadership.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Provide transparent, concise reporting with RAG status, quantified impacts, and recommended actions.
  • Manage vendor performance against SOWs, SLAs, and KPIs; enforce accountability for deliverables.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees and ensure alignment across business units.

What you must have:

  • Experienced in delivery leadership.
  • Critical Thinking and Decision Support as a normal practice. i.e. Ai is not doing the work for you and you are able to correctly challenge project assumptions based on your experience.
  • High levels of demonstrable Project awareness, especially around project mitigations, risks and issues.
