Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager in Calgary to lead technical projects from kickoff to closeout. You will act as the main client contact, coordinate engineering and automation resources, and manage scope, schedule and budget to ensure quality delivery.

Applicants should have 8+ years in engineering/automation environments, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, automation or related technical field.
  • Strong experience managing technical projects and client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, schedules and deliverables.
  • Technical background to understand engineering challenges and proposed solutions.
  • Ability to review deliverables for completeness and quality without executing design.
  • Strong understanding of scope, change management, risk, scheduling and cost control.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and expectation-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with engineers, designers, automation specialists and other technical resources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues early and drive resolution.

Responsibilities

Overview

The Senior Technical PM will be responsible for keeping projects aligned with client expectations, scope, schedule, budget and technical requirements from kickoff through delivery.

What you will be doing

What you must have
  • 8+ years of experience within engineering, industrial automation, systems integration or a related technical environment.

  • Strong experience managing technical projects and client relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, schedules and deliverables.

  • Technical background sufficient to understand engineering challenges, project requirements and proposed solutions.

  • Ability to review engineering/technical deliverables for completeness and quality without needing to personally execute the design work.

  • Strong understanding of project scope, change management, risk, scheduling and cost control.

  • Excellent client-facing communication and expectation-management skills.

  • Comfortable working directly with engineers, designers, automation specialists and other technical resources.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues early and drive them toward resolution.

Salary/Rate

$125.00/ hour
