Job summary

PMI Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in Calgary to lead enterprise custom application projects within a fast-paced Agile environment. You will drive delivery across multiple releases, leveraging Azure DevOps and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role requires 10+ years of IT PM experience, PMP/PRINCE2 certification, and deep knowledge of mixed methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban). Hybrid work arrangement in Calgary is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience delivering enterprise custom in-house applications from initial development through ongoing enhancements.
• Expert experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Sprint-based Agile delivery.
• Experience supporting a portfolio of 15+ enterprise applications with multiple release cycles.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects through the full project lifecycle from initiation to implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and communications.
• Deliver enterprise custom application development and enhancement projects.
• Manage ongoing enhancements and multiple releases across a portfolio of enterprise applications.
• Lead Agile delivery using Azure DevOps, facilitating Sprint planning and execution.
• Manage project risks, issues, scope changes, and dependencies.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent product releases in a fast-paced environment.
• Support business-critical initiatives, including the Alberta Time (DST) implementation before the November 1 deadline.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality expectations.
