Job summary

Mountain Club in Whistler is seeking a part-time snowshoe guide for the December–March season. You will lead guests on snowshoe tours around the Whistler area and share knowledge of local terrain and wildlife.

You’ll coordinate with the office and fellow guides to plan each day, adapt on the fly, and ensure a safe, memorable experience for guests. A passion for the outdoors and excellent guest communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoors and guiding clients in Sea-To-Sky.
• First aid certification: 80 hours or equivalent.
• Avalanche certification is an asset.
• Prior guiding experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Guide snowshoe tours in and around Whistler.
• Coordinate with the office and other guides to organize the day.
• Problem-solving on-go.

Job description

What we're looking for:

• People who are passionate about the outdoors and showing clients what the Sea-To-Sky has to offer

• 80-hour first aid certification e.g. Wilderness First responder with CPR-C, Outdoor Emergency Care or OFA3

• Canadian Avalanche Association, Avalanche Operations Level 1 is an asset

• Previous guiding experience is an asset

The day-to-day:

• Guiding snowshoe tours in and around the Whistler area

• Coordinating with the office and other guides to organize the day

• Problem-solving on-go
