Job Summary

You'll be sharing your love of cross-country skiing with guests of all ages and skill levels—whether it's their first time on skis or they're looking to fine-tune their technique. During busy times (like holidays and long weekends), you'll also jump in to help in our Rentals area and support our Groups Program. Think of it as being part instructor, part gear guru, and full-time mountain ambassador! We count on our part-time instructors to be flexible and pitch in during peak periods like Christmas break and Family Day weekend, teaching group and private lessons and helping guests get set up with the right equipment. No matter where you're helping, you'll bring enthusiasm, integrity, and top-notch guest service to every interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach cross-country ski lessons to children, adults, and groups with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Lead snowshoe tours when needed, sharing knowledge of the terrain and local environment.

Qualifications
  • You're an active cross-country skier and hold at least a Level 1 CANSI certification—you know your diagonal stride from your double pole!
  • You bring positive energy, a can-do attitude, and a genuine love for helping others learn and grow.
  • You're a quick learner, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple tasks— even when things get busy.
  • You're flexible with your schedule and happy to pitch in during holidays and peak times (yes, that includes Christmas and Family Day!).
  • You're a team player who can also work independently without needing constant supervision.
  • You've got top-notch guest service skills and know how to make people feel welcome and supported.
  • You're comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather-sunshine, snowstorms, or anything in between.
  • You're physically up for the challenge: lifting, standing, moving, and staying active all day.
  • You've got a talent for upselling lessons or products when the opportunity arises (without being pushy).
  • First Aid certification

Resort Conditions

Working at a Winter Resort means no two days are the same- and that's part of the adventure! You'll get to experience a variety of unique locations, from cozy lodges to scenic mountain-top venues only accessible by chairlift. Be prepared to embrace the elements; whether it's bluebird skies, fresh snowfall, or the infamous coastal rain. Expect to navigate multi-level lodges, steep stairways, and outdoor areas where the terrain can be sloped, snowy, or slippery, so good footwear is essential, indoors and out. Walking through large, icy parking lots is also part of the daily journey. If you love fresh air, stunning views, and a workplace that keeps you on your toes, this is the spot for you!
