Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of instructor training programs in line with CSIA, CASI, PSIC, and resort standards.

You will coordinate seasonal training plans, onboarding, and orientation with Snow School leadership; mentor instructors with on-hill support and certification prep; ensure daily and seasonal training schedules meet labour goals and budget.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 certification and active CSIA/CASI/PSIC conductor/evaluator trainer.
  • Willingness to learn and receptiveness to leadership feedback.
  • Post-secondary education an asset.
  • Previous Snow School leadership an asset.
  • New position posting.

HOURLY RATE:

$37.00 - $42.00 depending on experience and certification level

Full Time, Seasonal - October 19 to March 26

Average 4-5 shifts per week

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Technical Trainer exemplifies our cultureof creating revolutionaryguest experiences and contributes positively toward uniting the team around purpose and fun. This role isresponsible formaintainingquality controlof snow schoollessons,trainingcurriculumand attendance of our on-snow instructor training.They will assist the department Manager and Assistant Managers to review and contribute todepartmental orientation,on-snow training, the Snow School pocket pro and ensure that daily and seasonal training schedules are manageable fortrainers andstaff and in line with departmentallabourgoals and budget.

  • Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of instructor training programs in alignment with CSIA, CASI,PSIC, and resort standards.
  • Develop and coordinate seasonal training plans, onboarding, and orientation programs in collaboration with Snow School leadership.
  • Mentor and coach instructors through ongoing feedback, on-hill support, certification preparation, and professional development opportunities.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • Level4Certificationandmust be an active and current course conductor/evaluator/trainer through CSIA, CASI, or PSIC.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to gain knowledge specific to their job area and is receptive to feedback from leadership to further their own growth andexpertise.
  • Post Secondary education an asset
