Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking Seasonal Ski/Snowboard Instructors to deliver high-quality lessons. Must hold CASI/CSIA Level 1 or equivalent; experience with children is a plus. Flexible shifts include evenings, weekends and holidays, with on-hill training and safety guidelines.

  • Previous instructing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality ski/snowboard lessons in a professional and organized manner.
  • Maintain current lesson content; participate in on-hill training sessions.
  • Support the resort mission to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Greet guests at lesson locations and ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies of the Ski & Snowboard School.

HOURLY RATE:

Level 1 Instructor $18.71/hour

Level 2 Instructor $20.02/hour

Level 3 Instructor $23.27/hour

Level 4 Instructor $36.14/hour

FULL OR PART-TIME HOURS:

  • Full Time: Average 4-5 shifts/week
  • Part Time: Average 1-3 shifts/week

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Ski/Snowboard Instructors ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing quality lessons delivered in a professional and well-organized manner. Instructors are responsible for ensuring that lesson content is current and up to date. On hill training sessions are available daily through the Snow School. CASI and CSIA updates are offered throughout the season. Support the resort mission by ensuring that we are “creating the best memories again and again” by providing the best possible experience for our guests.

  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by providing quality lessons delivered in a professional and well-organized manner.
  • Demonstrating a high level of customer service.
  • Assisting the Supervisor in greeting guests as they arrive at the lesson location.
  • Ensuring that your day-to-day activities, in and out of lesson situations, fall within the guidelines of the Ski & Snowboard School’s Health and Safety policies.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Must hold a minimum level 1 C.A.S.I. or Level 1 C.S.I.A. Or completion of a Ski or Snowboard certification from another recognized organization.
  • Previous instructing experience an asset.
  • Comfortable working with small children
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays (Christmas, Family Day weekend and March Break).
  • Successful applicants who are 18 years of age or older will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.
