Job summary

Aramark Canada in Ottawa is seeking a friendly Cashier/Coat Check Attendant to deliver exemplary service while handling payments and supporting coat check operations. You will greet guests, answer questions, and ensure a smooth guest experience at events and venues.

Responsibilities include processing payments, assisting guests at the registers, maintaining coat check areas, and providing accurate information about menu options. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and special events is required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Basic math & counting skills required
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
• Smart Serve Certification is required
• 1+ years of point of sale experience with strong customer service
• French language skill is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and comply with ARAMARK and client policies related to health and safety, security, emergency response, food safety, and sanitation
• Safeguard company assets and support loss prevention initiatives
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude in fast-paced environments
• Receive payments by credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
• Provide guests with information on menu options and recommendations
• Hang and organize coats within the coat check system
• Return coats and items to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Maintain coat check area cleanliness and organization
• Complete daily opening/closing tasks and side-work
