Job summary

Wright Tree Service, Inc. is seeking part-time on-call Slasher/Brusher in Prince George, BC. You will clear vegetation using chainsaws and brush cutters, and prepare sites for agricultural, construction, or forestry use.

The role requires traversing steep terrain, long days, and potential travel away from home. Adhere to safety rules and wear PPE. Experience with live vegetation clearing and debris disposal is valued, and drivers with BC Class 5 license plus valid First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified chainsaw operator.
• Able to traverse steep slopes and work long hours.
• Willing to travel away from home for periods.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with minimal demerits.
• First Aid certification (BC) is an asset.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use manual tools (chainsaws, axes, machetes) and machinery (brush cutters) to clear trees, shrubs, and thick brush.
• Cut down and remove overgrown vegetation to improve land access or prep for use.
• Gather and dispose of cut debris (mulching, burning, hauling).
• Clear dead or dry brush to reduce wildfire risk in forested or dry areas.
• Clear paths for vehicles, workers, or machinery.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Other duties as required.
