Cummins Inc. in Saskatoon is seeking an Engine Workshop Technician - Apprentice to join our Distribution business. You will assist with workshop activities while completing on-the-job and classroom training and contribute to service repairs.

Responsibilities include completing engine repairs, performing maintenance with diagnostic tools, keeping detailed service records, and adhering to safety policies. The program emphasizes ongoing certifications and developing expertise while you work on

Job Summary:

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Engine Workshop Technician - Apprentice to join our Distribution business in Saskatoon. will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
• Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Education, Licenses, Certifications: Must have completed Year 2 of Red Seal /Journeyman Certification

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Minimal level of workshop experience required or basic level knowledge of engine products

Basic mechanical knowledge

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday @ 8am - 4:30pm
