Job summary

Sudbury Catholic District School Board is seeking a Carpenter – General Tradesperson to join its facilities team in Greater Sudbury. The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, modification and alteration of building systems to keep school facilities safe, functional and well maintained.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid Ontario driver’s license, and certification as a General Carpenter (403A).

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant experience in a commercial or institutional setting.
• Registered with Skilled Trades Ontario as a General Carpenter (403A).
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Advanced carpentry knowledge, techniques, materials, and tools, plus Ontario Building Code familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety regulations and codes (OHSA, APGS).
• Deliver high-quality workmanship installing, repairing, maintaining equipment and features.
• Use hand and power tools safely; perform physical labor; coordinate tools/materials as needed.
