Job summary

Sudbury Catholic District School Board in Ontario is seeking a licensed Electrician–General Tradesperson to join our facilities team. The position focuses on installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations and service requests in school facilities, with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

Working in a unionized environment, the role requires a three-year minimum of relevant experience in commercial or institutional settings, and a valid 442A or 309A certificate.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required.
• Licensed with Skilled Trades Ontario (442A or 309A).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical systems in school facilities.
• Adhere to safety regulations and Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Read drawings/blueprints and interpret specifications for projects.
• Coordinate with Facility Services and school staff on repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain records, complete work orders, and manage materials and tools.
