Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a Maintenance Worker V for the Victorian Community Health Centre in Kaslo, BC. This relief part-time role (0.63 FTE) runs Fri–Sun, 07:00–15:00, with a benefits package and development opportunities. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold safety, functionality and appearance of the facility.

The role involves skilled trades across electrical, plumbing, painting and general maintenance, plus guidance to other staff and ongoing renovations maintenance.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus four years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled trades work to journeyman level in electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Construct and repair walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture, and cabinetry; plastering, painting and finishing for renovations and maintenance.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on facility and plant equipment to ensure systems run smoothly.
• Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Workers and other staff.
