Job summary

The Victorian Community Health Centre in Kaslo, BC is seeking a Maintenance Worker V for a relief part-time role. You will perform skilled trades at journeyman level, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

This 0.63 FTE position runs Friday to Sunday day shifts from 07:00 to 15:00, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career advancement within Interior Health Authority.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level skills in electrical, plumbing, painting and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality and appearance of the facility.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on facility and plant equipment.
• Construct and repair walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture and cabinetry; plastering and finishing for renovations and maintenance.
• Provide guidance and support to other Maintenance Workers and designated staff.

Are you a skilled Maintenance Worker seeking a relief part time opportunity in the serene town of Kaslo, BC? We're hiring a Maintenance Worker V to join our team at the Victorian Community Health Centre.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Worker V, you will play an important role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll perform skilled trades work approaching the journeyman level in areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance, while also providing guidance and support to Maintenance Workers and other designated staff. Your responsibilities will include constructing and repairing walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture, and cabinetry, as well as completing plastering, painting, and finishing work for renovations and ongoing maintenance. You’ll also perform electrical and mechanical repairs on facility and plant equipment, helping to ensure systems and operations continue to run smoothly and efficiently.

Position Details

This is a relief part time (0.63FTE) position working Friday to Sunday day shifts from 07:00 to 15:00.
