Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting for a Skilled Labourer for the Agassiz Bridge Project in Agassiz, BC. The position is on infrastructure work with a day shift and a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule. Local accommodations apply and hourly rates range from 33.92 to 36.92 CAD.

Experience with concrete and power tools is required. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs, work independently or in a team, and have CSTS/WHMIS certifications.

Qualifications

• CSTS/ WHMIS Certificates are required.
• Experience using power tools is required.
• Experience working with concrete is required.
• Experience operating a Telehandler & Elevated Work Platforms is considered an asset.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry.
• Capable of learning on-the-job and working independently or in a team.
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues; take appropriate actions.
• Reliable transportation and legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Cut, drill, grind, and chip concrete using power saws, drills, and jackhammers.
• Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using chisels or grinders.
• May operate other power tools like the vibrator to compact concrete and assist with pours.
• Assist with concrete formwork, stripping formwork, and chipping.
• Dewatering.
• Operate the telehandler and/or mobile elevated work platforms.
• General site cleanup, housekeeping, and site organization.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; assist with end-of-shift cleanup.
• Assist with other duties as required by the site to ensure project progress is smooth and safe.

This position is located on a long‑term project in Agassiz, BCand does not have camp accommodations or living out allowance.

This is a 5 and 2 schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

• General site cleanup, housekeeping, and site organization
