Jardeg is recruiting experienced Carpenter Journeypersons to join our team on the Newell Substation Project, Burnaby, BC. The role focuses on concrete formwork and civil infrastructure, with a day shift and a 5 days on/2 days off schedule.

Candidates must have a Journeyperson ticket or provide hours for non-ticketed carpenters; experience on civil/infrastructure projects; strong safety mindset; valid work entitlement in Canada; local transportation required.

Formación

• Preference will be given to a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Experience with concrete formwork is required.
• Experience working on civil, infrastructure and/or heavy construction projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsabilidades

• Construct, install, and dismantle concrete formwork systems.
• Build and maintain temporary work platforms, access systems, and staging for pre-engineered formwork systems.
• Install embedded items such as anchors, dowels, and reinforcing assemblies to engineered specifications.
• Work safely implementing approved fall protection systems.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plywood, and formwork materials accurately.
• Assist with concrete pours, including form preparation, bracing, stripping, and finishing activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and layout information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety meetings.
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures.
• Act as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters

Jardeg is currently recruiting experienced Carpenter Journeypersons to join our team on the Newell Substation Project! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete formwork and civil infrastructure.

This position is located on a project in Burnaby, BC and does not have camp accommodations or living out allowance.

This is 5 days on, and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
• Experience with concrete formwork is required
• Experience working on civil, infrastructure and/or heavy construction projects
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to get to work
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
