Job description

We are seeking a skilled laborer with construction experience to assist in the installation of large steel framed doors and windows in a commercial building. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, moving and lifting heavy materials, wiring automatic doors, installing hardware, and providing support in the shipping department when necessary. The ideal candidate should possess a keen attention to detail and be adaptable to various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades in installing large steel framed doors and windows.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Move and lift heavy materials safely.
• Wire automatic doors and install hardware.
• Support the shipping department as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, including low voltage, carpentry, and glazing.
• Ability to consistently lift weights of 50lbs or more.
• Familiarity with WHIMIS.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of Division 8, 10, and 28.
• Experience with low voltage wiring.
