Amrize Armstrong/Vernon, operating in the Okanagan Valley is currently seeking applications for an experienced full‑time seasonal Skid‑Steer Operator for the grade crew. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will maintain the operation of the equipment on a daily basis. Reporting to the Asphalt or Base Foreperson, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be required to inspect, maintain and operate the piece of equipment you operate.
We currently employ approximately 25 staff, servicing municipal, commercial, residential and provincial asphalt paving markets. Amrize Armstrong/Vernon is a Union company that offers employee benefits and competitive wages starting at $30‑33/hr subject to the qualifications and experience. We offer a safe work environment, on‑the‑job training, up‑to‑date well‑kept equipment and room for advancement. These positions are based out of our Armstrong location and work sites are throughout the Okanagan.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy machinery, with a strong understanding of their functions and capabilities.
