The Groundsperson plays a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the aggregate site. This position is responsible for maintaining site cleanliness, assisting with plant and equipment maintenance activities, supporting material handling and production processes, and ensuring work areas remain safe and operational. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and production teams, the Groundsperson contributes to overall site performance by identifying issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and environmental stewardship. In this role, you will report to the Mines Manager and work collaboratively with the Aggregates team.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Experience performing general labour, groundskeeping, maintenance, construction, industrial, mining, quarry, or aggregate-related work. Experience working in a heavy industrial environment is considered an asset.
Travel requirements: Minimal travel required. Occasional travel between local sites may be required.
Required Technical Experience: Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience operating light mobile equipment is an asset. Ability to complete inspections and basic documentation
