Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced low-mid rise Site Superintendent for a challenging mixed-use residential project in Ottawa, Ontario. You will supervise on-site operations, manage trades and staff, uphold QA/QC standards, and ensure health and safety compliance while keeping the project schedule on track.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of rough-in construction as a Site Superintendent on low-mid rise developments with underground parking and a post-secondary degree in Business, Civil

Qualifications

• 10+ years of rough-in construction experience as a Site Superintendent in low-mid rise developments with underground parking.
• Post-secondary degree in Business, Civil Engineering or Construction Management (MBA and M. Eng. preferred).
• Strong team player with a solutions-focused mindset and ability to handle complex projects.

Description

• Supervising the construction project and all the operations on the site
• Ensuring that the quality of work and materials is upheld - Upholding Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards
• Organizing and Supervising site staff, trades and contractors and ensuring that they are performing as required and reporting progress
• Ensuring that the health and safety project plans and MOL requirements are implemented and followed
• Creating, Monitoring, and updating project schedules and ensuring the schedule and look ahead schedules are followed and provide updates to the Project Manager/Senior Management as required

Profile

• 10+ years rough-in experience in construction as a low-mid rise Site Superintendent working on low and mid-rise developments with underground parking
• Have a post secondary education in Business, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent (MBA and M. Eng. Preferred)
• Strong team player with a solutions focused mindset and ability to understand sophisticated ways
• Possess thorough knowledge in designing and building large scale multi family construction projects
• Additional tasks and duties as required
