Objective Recruiting is assisting a BC-based industrial contracting company in finding a highly experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction projects in the Lower Mainland and British Columbia. Port Coquitlam, BC will serve as the base for this role.

The successful candidate will guide large crews, manage safety and quality, and drive project performance across diverse sectors including mining, petrochemical, and bulk handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a Superintendent in industrial construction.
• Proven ability to lead large crews and manage multiple project priorities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, labour planning, contract administration, and industrial safety standards.
• Experience in Ports & Terminals, Mining, Oil & Gas, Bulk Material Handling, Power Generation, and Pulp & Paper.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and quality in every aspect of site operations.
• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Oversee daily reporting, labour productivity, equipment utilization, job costing, and payroll submissions.
• Mentor, coach, and develop foremen and field personnel, building a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and labour resources to optimize project execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to proactively manage risks and identify opportunities.
• Support project planning, estimating, and constructability reviews.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary: $140,000 to $170,000 per annum

The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and our client’s compensation policy.
