Job summary

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience as a Superintendent in industrial construction.
  • Proven ability to lead large crews and manage multiple project priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, labour planning, contract administration, and industrial safety standards.
  • Experience in Ports & Terminals, Mining, Oil & Gas, Bulk Material Handling, Power Generation, and Pulp & Paper.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Champion safety and quality in site operations.
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee daily reporting, labour productivity, equipment utilization, job costing, and payroll submissions.
  • Mentor foremen and field personnel to build accountability and high performance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and labour resources.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to manage risks and opportunities.
  • Support project planning, estimating, and constructability reviews.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Salary: $140 - $170k per annum

The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
