Job summary

Supers Recruitment Inc is seeking a Site Superintendent to take over an ongoing 3-storey commercial build in East Vancouver. Lead trade contractors, finalize roofing and interior finishing, with completion expected in mid Q1 2027.

Future projects may be on Vancouver Island or Northern BC. Travel is required; housing and LOA may be arranged. Salary ranges from $115,000 to $145,000 with a profit-sharing program and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 10 years of site experience, including 2 start-to-finish commercial projects as the #1 Superintendent.
• Experience on commercial/mixed-use projects >$20M and capability to handle $20M–$30M.
• Willingness to travel to Vancouver Island and Northern BC; strong references.

Responsibilities

• Take over this project as the structure finishes; finalize roofing and interior finishing (completion mid Q1 2027).
• Lead trade contractors with leadership, scheduling and coordination.
• Manage site inspections and safety on-site; work with PM on POs and budgets.
• Support your team including Assistant Superintendent/CSO and help with career progression.
• Collaborate to address construction challenges and ensure quality delivery.

Job description

Site Superintendent role with a great local Construction Manager & General Contractor. You take over an ongoing 3-storey commercial building in East Vancouver. This concrete and mass timber build includes nearly 20,000 sqft of office, community space and a day care. Upon completion in Q1 2027, future commercial projects will likely be located on Vancouver Island or in Northern BC and your contract would be adjusted to provide housing, LOA and travel costs.

Company Details

This Construction Manager & General Contractor is well respected across BC with a history of successful projects including commercial, mixed-use, mass timber and custom homes builds. They have deep BC roots and over 15 years of successful projects through British Columbia. Many of their projects involve local First Nations. They also are heavily invested in technology including Procore, MS Project and in-house VDC and BIM capabilities. They are mid-size (~50 people) and take on projects in Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Northern BC. Most builds come in between $5M and $25M+. The also have modular capabilities and future projects (often) utilize these systems. Upcoming projects include hybrid office/education spaces, remote BC Housing builds and a sportsplex.

Duties:

• Take over this project as the structure is wrapping up and finalize the roofing and interior finishing phases -Expected completion in mid Q1 2027
• Lead the trade contractors with leadership, detailed scheduling and trade coordination
• Manage site inspections
• Work closely with the PM to address construction challenges and support the review of POs and budgets
• Support you team including your Assistant Superintendent/CSO and help them develop towards a promotion
• Ensure safety is treated as a priority on-site

Requirements

• 10 years of site experience, including a minimum of 2 start-finish commercial projects as the #1 Superintendent
• Previous experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial or mixed-use projects with values greater than $20M and the confidence to handle a project from $20M - $30M
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A history of successful project in BC and a strong knowledge of the local codes, challenges and requirements
• A history of solid tenure and start to finish projects
• A willingness to travel for future projects (potentially Vancouver Island and Northern BC)
• Strong references

Compensation

• Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 (also open to a contractor relationship)
