Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Field Engineer to support and modernize control systems across Western Canada. You will lead maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning, working closely with customers to improve reliability and lifecycle management.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in automation, strong Windows/network skills, and be able to travel >60% regionally. This full‑time role offers comprehensive benefits and career growth within Schneider Electric.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Process Control, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Foxboro DCS or similar Distributed Control Systems.
  • 3-5 years of industrial automation, commissioning, maintenance, or field service experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and system administration.
  • Excellent customer‑facing communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to travel more than 60% regionally.

Job description

Join Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation Services team and become a trusted technical advisor to customers operating critical infrastructure and process environments.

In this role, you'll combine field service expertise, automation knowledge, and customer engagement skills to support, maintain, and modernize industrial control systems across Western Canada.

  • Background supporting industrial customers in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical, or Pulp & Paper sectors

The expected pay range is CAD 75,200 - CAD 112,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short‑term incentives.
