Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. in Delta, British Columbia, is seeking a site-based Project Coordinator / Quality to support civil construction delivery, including underground duct bank, trenchless crossings, substations, and earthworks.

The role combines field coordination with quality oversight to ensure work adheres to drawings and client standards. You will manage daily field reports, RFIs, submittals, drawings revisions, and inspections, while maintaining records and driving continuous site improvements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of coordination and/or quality experience on civil, utility, or heavy construction projects.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to work full-time on active construction sites in BC.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team with daily field reporting, progress tracking, and production reporting.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and site instructions with engineering and the client.
• Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and quantity tracking.
• Support change management, including documenting delays, extra work, and backup for change requests.
• Coordinate material deliveries, warehouse/inventory tracking, and subcontractor scheduling.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and meeting minutes for internal and client distribution.
• Coordinate site inspection and audit activities, including hold points, witness points, and client inspections.
• Verify field work conforms to IFC drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
