JOB OVERVIEW

The Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of a nuclear waste sorting facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. This leadership role is responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, delivering technical expertise, and implementing effective work strategies that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, including a good working knowledge of hazards associated with industrial environments.
  • Continually assess and maintain Laurentis Energy Partners and Nuclear-specific governing documents, including policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise staff engaged in the delivery of consultative services, problem-solving, technical advice, and product expertise related to the operations and maintenance of a nuclear waste sorting facility.
  • Provide technical and consultative services, problem solving, technical advice, and guidance concerning operations and maintenance of the nuclear waste sorting facility.
  • Seek to improve work processes and cultivate an awareness of organizational changes that impact the need to adapt methods and operations.
  • Develop strategies and work processes for the nuclear waste sorting facility. Analyze technical results and adjust/implement work programs as necessary, ensuring management systems are in place to meet all due diligence requirements.
  • Perform the role of a Site Manager in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and standards. Develop and manage work plans to achieve assigned tasks.
  • Assign tasks to subordinates, ensuring clarity in task parameters and context for assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create and sustain a supportive team environment, empowering staff to attain optimal work performance.
  • Identify training requirements to perform tasks, ensuring the training is relevant and evaluation measures are meaningful.
  • Perform other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

We are seeking dynamic and results-driven professionals who have:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary environment, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 6 or more years of experience in operations or equivalent environment, including specialized equipment, processes, tooling, techniques, and/or methods.
  • Operational experience in nuclear generating plants and the application of nuclear industry standards would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of engineering and science principles, theories, applications, and technology to effectively evaluate and advise on work programs in use for nuclear facilities.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience sufficient to fulfill effective managerial responsibilities.
  • Supervision or Management experience of unionized staff and financial acumen are considered an asset.
