Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Field Coordinator to join our team on exciting projects. You will perform layout work accurately, coordinate inspections with consultants, and monitor rebar installation to ensure conformance with structural drawings.

You will provide engineering information and interpret plans, detailing sheets, and specifications for contractors while resolving conflicts across disciplines in collaboration with consultants and sub-trades.

Qualifications

• Two year education beyond high school or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• A minimum of 1–2 years construction engineering and layout experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to represent the company professionally.
• Experience with concrete and formwork scopes.
• CISD Secret clearance or eligibility is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout work competently, accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required by the contract.
• Monitor installation of rebar for conformance to structural drawings.
• Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.
• Continually find solutions to conflicts in structural/architectural/mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications by conferring with the Consultants.
• Coordinate these solutions with the various sub-trades.
