Job summary

EllisDon in Alberta is seeking a Field Coordinator to support pre-construction, construction and post-construction activities on our projects. You will perform layout, coordinate inspections and ensure conformance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires a two-year technical education and at least two years of construction engineering and layout experience, plus strong verbal and written communication and CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Two-year education beyond high school or equivalent with technical training.
• Minimum two years of construction engineering and layout experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication to interact with Owners and staff.
• Experience with CAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout work competently, accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required by the contract.
• Monitor installation of rebar for conformance to structural drawings.
• Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors
• Continually find solutions to conflicts in structural/architectural/mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications by conferring with the Consultants. Co-ordinate these solutions with the various sub-trades
