Job summary

Bruce Power is seeking a Section Manager for Simulator Support to lead the development and maintenance of simulation environments across Bruce A, Bruce B, and related facilities. You will ensure trained personnel, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree with CEAB accreditation, 8–10 years of progressive management experience, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A P.Eng. is an asset.

Qualifications

  • 4-year university degree in Engineering with CEAB accreditation, or verified credentials for non-CEAB graduates.
  • Ontario Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) is an asset but not required.
  • 8–10 years of progressive management experience in technical, operations, maintenance or related fields.
  • Knowledge of safety issues, financial analysis and control, contracts and business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to Nuclear Safety Culture and communicates safety principles across the section.
  • Provides day-to-day coordination of the Section and informs Department Manager of issues.
  • Oversees work group performance, milestones, metrics, and deliverables.
  • Manages staffing, training, and qualifications for section personnel.
  • Supports simulator development, maintenance, and capital upgrades.
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules, licensing, and company directives.
  • Acts as liaison across groups to integrate project updates into simulators.
