Job summary

CAE Inc. seeks a Simulator Technician to join the Simulator Services team in Comox, BC, supporting 19 Wing Comox and CH149 Cormorant CMLU workstreams. You will maintain and troubleshoot flight simulators, collaborate with engineering and logistics, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Reporting to the CMLU Group Leader, you will mentor junior technicians, lead maintenance activities, and ensure simulator readiness to support training delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of direct simulator maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Experience performing advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation on complex technical systems.
• Ability to read electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with software diagnostics and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned maintenance shifts and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and on-the-job training to Technician I/II.
• Support the development and qualification of junior technicians through skills transfer.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex maintenance and system issues.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities to support simulator availability and readiness.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
