ATCO Structures, Cookstown, Ontario branch is seeking a hands-on Shop Supervisor to lead our service technician team in a fast-paced modular manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with leadership experience who thrives on the shop floor and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and support advanced installations and repairs.

This is a temporary position with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily operations on the shop floor.
• Take ownership of Safety, Quality, and Scheduling.
• Conduct inbound and outbound inspections of all fleet units.
• Troubleshoot complex service issues and dispatch technicians as needed.
• Lead hands-on installations and repairs (e.g., bathrooms, kitchenettes, electrical/plumbing retrofits).
• Represent the shop team in interdepartmental meetings and client interactions.
• Act as the subject matter expert in welding, fabrication, and specialized installations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 4 service technicians.
• Provide strategic feedback and recommendations to management.
• Ensure full compliance with SITEDOCS safety documentation and standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Designated trade certification preferred (e.g., Journeyman Carpenter, Plumber, or Electrician) or equivalent experience in similar trades and industry.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and influence a team.
• Strong hands-on experience in modular or construction environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to perform all tasks, including detailing units when required.
