Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Langley is seeking a General Shop Helper to support the service department by keeping the shop, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized. You will help technicians, move vehicles, and assist with parts and shop tasks to maintain efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous automotive or general labour experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop and bays.
• Assist technicians with general shop tasks and vehicle movement.
• Wash and detail customer and inventory vehicles as required.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly.
• Shuttle vehicles within the dealership and assist with lot organization.
• Support receiving, stocking, and organizing parts and shop supplies.
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials per safety regulations.
• Assist with general maintenance duties and minor facility upkeep.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• Provide support to Service Advisors and other departments as needed.

Position Overview

Mercedes-Benz Langley is currently seeking a General ShopHelper to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, this rolesupports the service department by ensuring the shop, equipment, and vehiclesare maintained to the highest standards. The General Shop Helper plays a keyrole in delivering operational efficiency and contributing to a safe,organized, and customer-focused environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Good communication skills, both verbal andwritten
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and performphysical tasks throughout the day
